“In the beginning, the Creator didn’t mold the world into existence so much as he sang it. A note was a basic concept of existence. A melody was a blade of grass or newborn’s first breath. Every song was an entire world. Today, arcanists seek to unlock the secrets of the universe through music. Not just any instrument can play the Songs of Creation. It takes something truly warped and beyond conventional geometries in order to replicate even a single note.”
This week’s assignment was to create a world and then model a room representative of that world. I decided to go with a setting idea I had a while back and create what I thought an “Arcane Conservatory” would look like.
This organ’s pipes aren’t quite all there in this plane of existence. They stretch upwards, rightwards, outwards, and inwards.
Clicking on the organ’s keys produces the sound of dimensions shifting and world’s collapsing.
A single door leads out of the room, but attempting to turn the knob produces only the click of a locked door. What’s going on out there?
